I am a writer and artist currently working on Young Adult and Middle Grade fiction, book illustration, studio artwork on paper and porcelain enamel on steel, and multi media storytelling projects.
My public art is installed in Safeco Field, the Seattle Mariners ballpark, a Portland light rail station, schools and civic structures. I am on the Public Art Roster for Washington State and am interested in working on porcelain enamel and other surface design projects, as well as media projects.
For the past seven years I have worked for 4Culture, King County’s Cultural Arts and Heritage organization, currently in a communications role, overseeing press, social media and online initiatives.
I serve on the Advisory Committee for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Western Washington, as events coordinator. This remarkable all-volunteer organization has greatly enhanced my practice. I recommend the Professional Series meetings and the spring Conference, as well as the Chinook blog which has all the latest SCBWI WWA news.
